At dinner Friday evening, a friend asked me to name three passions. It only took a moment to name the first. The others were more difficult to identify. “Poetry,” I said – “I am passionate about poetry. I believe poetry saves us.”
I still have one of the first poems I ever wrote. I was in first grade and the title is Dreams. It pleases me to know that I was enchanted by dreams even when I was six.
Recently, my poem Cold Storage, Meditation on Wintering was accepted for publication in the Winter edition of the literary journal Persimmon Tree.
